The day unfolds from there. Time on the water, or a short drive into Traverse City. By evening, everything settles back at the lake. A fire, the water at dusk, time shared or apart. Silver Oaks is a private lakefront resort offering a full-property rental experience or independent cottages designed for group stays.
What are the minimum stay requirements?
A 7-night minimum stay is required for all individual cottages from June 15 through August 14. A 3-night minimum applies from August 15 through August 31. From September 1 through June 14, a 2-night minimum applies.
During the off-season (August 15 – June 14), full resort reservations require a minimum of 3 nights.
Can we host a private gathering or small event?
Small, intimate gatherings with guests staying on-property may be possible with written approval from management. We’re happy to discuss your plans when you inquire.
Is this suitable for large family groups?
Yes — this is the primary use case the property was designed for. Multi-generational families and groups of 8–38 guests are the core audience.
Are weddings or wedding receptions held at the property?
Silver Oaks is not a wedding venue. The property does not host ceremonies or receptions. It is, however, an ideal place for a wedding party and family to stay together during a celebration weekend — and many do.
