All cottages and the full resort are available to book directly through the Silver Oaks website. Select your dates, choose your cottage, and complete your reservation online. For questions before booking, we are available by phone or text.

Yes. Individual cottages can be booked separately. If you would like to reserve the entire property exclusively for your group, full resort availability is managed as a single booking.

Silver Oaks books early, particularly for peak season dates between June 15 and August 31. We recommend booking as far in advance as possible to secure your preferred dates. Partner services — including private chef, massage, and boat rentals — are often reserved months in advance and should be arranged at the time of booking.

A 7-night minimum stay is required for all individual cottages from June 15 through August 14. A 3-night minimum applies from August 15 through August 31. From September 1 through June 14, a 2-night minimum applies.

During the off-season (August 15 – June 14), full resort reservations require a minimum of 3 nights.

50% of the total booking amount is due at the time of reservation. The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to check-in. A one-night security deposit is also required. All guests are required to sign a rental agreement before their stay is confirmed.

Payment details are available through the booking platform at the time of reservation.

Reservations cancelled 90 days or more prior to the first day of the scheduled stay will be refunded in full, minus processing fees. A 50% refund, minus processing fees, applies to cancellations made between 30 and 90 days prior to arrival. No refund is available for cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled arrival date.

The minimum age to rent at Silver Oaks is 25.

Pets are not permitted at Silver Oaks. The property is designed to provide a tranquil and refined experience for all guests.

Smoking is not permitted indoors or anywhere on the grounds.

Silver Oaks does not host weddings or receptions. It is, however, a natural home base for wedding parties and families gathering around a nearby celebration — private, beautifully appointed, and large enough for the whole group.

Silver Oaks does not host bachelor or bachelorette parties. The property is designed to provide a peaceful and refined experience for all guests.

Intimate gatherings and private dinners are welcomed at Silver Oaks. Any planned events or gatherings beyond standard group stays require written approval from management prior to booking.

Silver Oaks is a private, peaceful property. Guests are expected to be respectful of the setting and considerate of others staying on the property.

Silver Lake access opens seasonally. The boat dock and paddleboards are available from May 1. On-water boat delivery is available from June 1. Water-related amenities are weather-dependent and may vary slightly by season.

Yes. Silver Oaks is available for reservations year-round. Peak season runs June 15 through August 31. Shoulder seasons — spring before June 15 and fall September through November — offer a quieter, more intimate experience of the property and the region. Fall color season in Northern Michigan is a particularly sought-after time to visit.

All five cottages remain available during the off-season. Water-related amenities are seasonal. Downtown Traverse City, its restaurants, wineries, and breweries remain open and accessible year-round.
